Welcome to Total Marriage
This four-hour experience invites couples who might be wrestling with significant marital issues or merely seeking to deepen their relationship to revisit original biblical and research-based insights into intimacy and relationship.
Over the course of the morning, we will explore:
Objectives:
This is a Biblical and Evidence-Based curriculum that takes couples through clear progression:
Identity: That part of us formed by God that is irreplaceable, unique, and spiritual. We are each unique entities created by God for His glory and for relational impact.
Wounding: This is what happens to us in imperfect families in a tragic world. Further, our wounds shape how we attach in a relationship if they are not resolved.
Toxic Shame: The tendency to hold ourselves accountable for our wounding and fall into the trap of negative self-talk / self-belief.
Codependency: A behavioral tendency to manage the perceptions and feelings of others as the result of ungrieved loss, unhealed wounds, and unresolved trauma.
Addiction / Escape: Where we go to get away from our past and escape the difficulties of what is happening currently.
The Road Home: Practical tools to get in touch with one’s story, communicate more effectively, and address addictive / sinful patterns of behavior and the wounding they create.

Dr. Lee Hudson, PsyD, LPC is offering two workshops this summer. These are one-time events on a Saturday Morning. Over the course of four hours, Dr. Hudson will begin with how God has designed us as unique individuals equipped with everything we need for relationship, and end with practical strategies for communication that are simple to implement and life-changing in your marriage. All of the content is based on the truth of Christian Scripture and evidence-based counseling practice including current research. Couples who attended this workshop in April spoke highly of the principles shared and the practicality of the information in everyday life.
