I know that reaching out for help can be a challenge of its own, but I commend you for the courageous step toward personal growth.  In times of struggle and challenges, it is natural to feel overwhelmed and unsure of how to navigate. Going through difficult times is an inevitable part of life, but I believe that with God, we can find strength and resilience needed to overcome these challenges.

Hi there! I’m Amy. I believe that combining evidence-based therapeutic techniques with Christian integration can offer a holistic approach to healing.  I consider your physical, mental-emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. I believe that our problems must be viewed in the context of all these areas of our lives and recognize that everyone is unique and may require different approaches in therapy. Additionally, I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy.

I enjoy working with adolescents, college students, and adults. I am passionate about working with individuals who are facing challenges related to depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, self-harm, and spiritual struggles. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I recognize that my background has been a valuable asset in my experience, as it has given me a unique sensitivity toward cultural nuances and differences. I am dedicated to provide you with the best support and guidance that I have to offer, as I take what I do seriously.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science, with minors in Psychology and Neuroscience from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Christian University, (previously known as Houston Baptist University). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the State of Texas.

My husband and I have two wonderful children. In my free time I enjoy powerlifting, playing the piano, and spending quality time with my family going to the park, the zoo, amusement parks, and traveling.

Whether you are a Christian, or not, I am committed to create a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals from all backgrounds can feel comfortable. The key to building a strong therapeutic relationship lies in cultivating trust, safety, and respect. No matter where you are in life, my desire is to meet you where you are and start from there. I would be humbled by the opportunity to be a part of your healing journey as we work together towards positive change.
