If you are struggling, looking for help and hope, I would be honored to be a part of this chapter of your life. My role is to meet you where you are, come alongside in the struggles you face, facilitate a plan of change, and sustain growth.
I specialize in working with individuals and couples ages 12 & up as well as working with families. Some of the areas of focus that I work with are: anxiety, anger management, men's issues, trauma, sexual addiction, internet addiction, boundaries, stress management, and forgiveness.
I take the work I do at the Houston Center for Christian Counseling very seriously, and my commitment is to give you the best I have to offer. I will work hard to understand your story and what has brought you to this particular juncture of life. I would ask that you would give yourself wholeheartedly to the process of wholeness and healing. I believe there are several key elements that contribute to success in the counseling process. I will help you identify where your strengths are and the areas that may be undermining your healing process. Additionally, I believe that a relationship with God is important for many reasons, but in the realm of counseling, I believe that God is moving and desires to come alongside and assist you in this process. No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, I will meet you where you are and will come alongside you in a safe nonjudgmental environment.
I completed my undergraduate studies from Baylor University with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. Along the way, I realized that my true calling was in the field of counseling. I completed a Master of Arts in Counseling from the Houston Graduate School of Theology. I am currently licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-A) in Texas supervised by Tim Mavergeorge, M.A., LPC-S, LMFT, LCDC. I am currently pursuing a certification as a sex addiction specialist through C-SASI (Christian Sex Addiction Specialists International)
I have been married to my wife, Whitney, since 2013. We stay very busy with three beautiful young children. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and the great outdoors! I also enjoy reading when I find the time, and serving in my local church.
