My desire is to help you experience the abundant life for which you were created. If you are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, identity issues, ongoing traumatic stress, or spiritual battles, it would be my honor to help you overcome those struggles and discover a renewed sense of purpose, joy, and hope.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and holistic. I see teens and adults in person or virtually and provide a safe, calm, and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and understood. I have a Christian worldview but will meet you where you are spiritually, integrating as little or as much spirituality into sessions as you choose.
One of the areas I specialize in is EMDR Intensives with extensive training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Advanced EMDR, Acute Stress Syndrome Stabilization, Trauma and Grief Component Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have a certificate in Chemical Dependency Counseling, a Master of Social Work degree with specialization in trauma-informed clinical counseling, and over 20 years of experience in ministry working with high-trauma populations.
On a personal note, I’ve been married since 2006 and have a son and a young adult stepdaughter. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, writing, being in nature, listening to music, or reading a good book.
I know the courage and humility it takes to reach out for help. Often the first step is the hardest, but I promise it will be worth it. If you think we would be a good fit, I would love to partner with you on your journey toward healing and wholeness.
