Penny Roberts

Learning to deal with depression, addiction, emotions, relationships, and other concerns can be overwhelming, but I believe everyone deserves to be heard and have the opportunity for restoration through God and clinical expertise. “I will praise the LORD who counsels me— even at night my conscience instructs me. I keep the LORD in mind always. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” (Psalm 16:7-8 HCSB)

My name is Penny Roberts-Martinez, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor -Associate dedicated to supporting you, and walking with you, as we take this journey together. 

From anxiety and depression to relationship issues, I have experience in almost all areas including specialty work with eating disorders and addiction.

As a SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) certified facilitator, I find great joy counseling couples who are dating, engaged, newly married, or have years under their belt. I am also trained in the Gottman-Method for relationship counseling.

 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Houston Baptist University and received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The University of Houston-Victoria. Before returning to graduate school, I worked as a pastry chef for twelve years. I love reading and spending time with my two daughters and husband. In my free moments you can find me baking pies and French macarons.
