Sometimes we encounter things in life that can feel a little confusing, but other times like genuine chaos. These places can feel messy and broken, or utterly devastating, and we can be left feeling isolated in all of it with no safe place to turn. Whatever you’ve been or are currently going through, it is my greatest honor to walk alongside you in and through the ashes and weeds of life. I believe that it is the experience of being fully known and accepted in the safety of the therapeutic relationship that healing can take place. It is my desire to partner with you in the highs and lows in every season — whether you feel like you’re running, walking, or crawling. You have a story worth telling, and you’re not meant to go it alone. I truly believe there is hope, freedom, and flourishing to be found.
I see each person as unique in identity and purpose and tailor my counseling to your needs as a whole person. My clinical areas of focus are primarily betrayal, trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, loneliness, friendship, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions. I specialize in and am passionate about helping individuals healing from betrayal trauma as well as church and institutional betrayal. I am a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist through APSATS, with rigorous training and education in helping spouses who have experienced marital betrayal. I am also a trauma therapist trained in EMDR therapy, which I believe is extremely effective in facilitating lasting healing by helping the brain’s natural healing process.
I graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences from Texas Tech University with a minor in American Sign Language, and a Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.
When I’m not counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, doing something creative, jamming to music, and buying more books before finishing what I’m already reading.
