Marshall Rorie

I have been a Christian counselor for over 30 years. I work with adults, couples and families. Some of my specialties include working in the area of sexual and porn addiction, anxiety, depression,  divorce and remarriage, infidelity, phobias, grief and loss, and various addictions. I also have many years of experience working with couples. Prior to becoming a Christian counselor, I was a secondary Christian school teacher/administrator for 15 years. I also spent 6 years in the Navy on a nuclear submarine serving as the Christian Lay Leader.

My approach to counseling is to model Christ’s approach to helping everyone and will meet you where you are.  Some of my various tools I use are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy, just to name a few of my tools in my tool belt. I believe our relationship is no accident and will treat you with utmost respect.  

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with the State of Texas. I have an undergraduate degree in Bible and Christian Education, a MA in Christian School Administration, and a MA in Psychology and Pastoral Counseling.

I was faithfully married for almost 50 years, then widowed. I have recently, delightfully, remarried. I have 4 wonderful children and 10 more wonderful grandchildren. I have been a Houstonian for 40 years, and I’m glad to call it home.
