I have seen firsthand how impactful counseling can be in my own life. By modeling the benefits of Godly insightful counsel and profound empathy as the guiding forces through the difficulties of life, great perspective and change is possible. I recognize that God’s healing for this world often shows itself through the power of the personal therapeutic relationship that is carefully built within counseling.
I rely heavily on a person-centered, eclectic approach to therapeutic treatment. Being allowed into someone else’s pain comes with a weighty sense of responsibility that I do not take lightly. I believe in many ways that the client is the expert on themselves and in need of being draw out. I consider it a privilege each time I am allowed to walk alongside each person through their journey.
My passion is to help those who struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity issues, grief, and crisis/trauma. I enjoy working with adults in all stages of life. As a Theraplay trained professional, I also enjoy working with children and adolescents.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and a Master of Education in Counseling degree from the University of Houston. I pride myself on being a Houston native and look forward to helping those in my city.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy serving at my church, hanging with family, playing volleyball with friends, and exploring the great city of Houston. The second love of my life (after the Lord, of course) is my pup, Mia. I love to play the piano, watch movies, and after many years of practice, I am a certified champion in the game of UNO.
