God has provided us the ability to live each day in His peace and purpose. Sometimes our journey takes an unexpected turn, and we can easily find ourselves in a place unexpected. As a therapist, I enjoy working with children, adolescents, families, and adult women. My experience includes working in the educational setting providing counseling services to individuals in the community and schools as well as in private practice.

I am trained as an EMDR therapist to support the healing process of individuals seeking trauma-informed care. I use Solution Focused Therapy with my clients to build the tools they need to move forward with their current strengths and needs as an individual. I am also an APSATS Trainee (Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists) and have extensive training to help partners who are seeking healing after betrayal trauma.

As a Registered Play Therapist, I have extensive training working with children and adolescents in need of achieving harmony and healing in their lives. I also use Child Centered Play Therapy with children who would benefit from expressing themselves through play as part of the therapeutic process in a playroom and Sandtray Therapy and other expressive arts when working with older children and adolescents outside of the playroom to foster personal expression and healing in the counseling process. I have extensive experience working to support the needs children have in both the therapeutic and educational environment including social skills, behavioral issues, coping skills, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, peer relationships, school problems, suicidal ideation, grief, loss and stress.

As a Christian, I have personally experienced God’s healing and salvation in my life and believe that each person has a divine purpose and calling on their life. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques to foster a person centered approach to meeting each one of my clients at their comfort levels.

While away from the office I enjoy traveling, attending our local church and spending time with my husband and two children.
