Jeanne Hensley

I have been a Christian Counselor since 1993. Prior to my training as a counselor, I was a school teacher and stay at home mom. I was married for nineteen years before I was widowed with two school aged children. My sons are now married, and I have wonderful daughter-in-laws and four adorable grandchildren.

I became a Christian Counselor after experiencing God’s great healing in my own life. I believe all real healing comes from God and practice Christ centered counseling, focusing on spiritual roots of emotional and relational issues. I love working with people and seeing God bring wonderful changes in their lives.

I work with individuals with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues as well as with spiritual issues of anger, bitterness, fear, abuse and grief.  

I taught forgiveness seminars digging into roots of what forgiveness is, and the process of forgiving: how to go through the pain, shame, and fear to rebuilding trust. Forgiveness is a journey from brokenness and betrayal to healing and restoration, from despair to joy. It is the gift God gives to the heartbroken to be free and full of His peace.

 I enjoy helping those planning retirement or who are retired finding their best life.

As well as seeing individuals, I work with marriages, families, blended families with an emphasis on healing, relationships, communication, and forgiveness. I am EMDR trained and help clients with trauma issues.

I have a Bachelor of Science of Social Studies and a Master of Science of Counseling. I am licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, assisting new counselors in growing in the profession.

I have been a guest speaker on radio and television, and I have co-authored a book, Family Secrets. It is my prayer that God continues to use me as an instrument of His healing and a vessel of His love. I would love the opportunity to work with you.
