I consider it an honor to support your growth as you pass along this journey.  I approach counseling utilizing tools from several perspectives.  However, empathy, respect, and support, are the ties that bind them all together.  I have an unshakable belief in your expertise in the matters of your life, and I seek to develop an understanding of your situation and life complexity you are facing and work alongside you.  There are proven strategies that work in dealing with personal and relationship issues.  I see my role as giving you the best of what I can bring to your life situation.   I also believe in challenging my clients to be the best of who they are really designed to be.  I am trained as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, but I also utilize tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Existential Therapy, Behaviorism, Choice Theory, Family Systems Therapy and Brief Solution Focused Therapy.  The backdrop to all these strategies,  techniques, and advanced training that I have received and benefitted from is the perspective of a Christian.  I believe we are all the handiwork of God’s creation, and I strive to follow the example of Jesus, the “Wonderful Counselor.”

I began my career in 2007 and have worked in a variety of areas in the counseling field.  I have extensive experience with teens, young adults and families in various counseling settings as well as in youth ministry.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and graduated with a BA in Psychology from Howard Payne University and an MS in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University.

I grew up as a pastor’s son and have been involved in various types of ministry since I was young.  I am happily married, and we welcomed our awesome son in 2018.  The three of us and our dachshund are inseparable.  We love to go to concerts and cook together. I like to play music, and build things in my free time.  I look forward to working with you.  Please bring you and your story, and I’ll bring my best!
