I am Wiley, a Licensed Professional Counselor from Fort Bend County. God’s path for my professional resume has been an adventure. I’ve served as a youth minister in a local church, counseled youth in a juvenile detention center as well as a community mental health clinic, worked as an adult outpatient therapist at a mental health hospital, managed private practice and teach psychology at the junior college level.
Counseling first requires a relationship. My counseling approach is to provide a setting where you, the client, can let your guard down safely and begin healing. I blend gospel-centeredness with my professional training to serve my clients and employ a moderate to large dose of humor.
Clients I have worked with include those experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, effects of divorce, academic and career stress, challenges from adjustment, and men’s issues such as addiction to pornography. I specialize in men and father/son relationships. I have anger management training and extensive experience working with families.
I graduated from Fort Bend ISD and then attended Texas A&M University where I earned a bachelors in both psychology and history. After I decided to pursue counseling, I completed my Masters in Psychology at Houston Baptist University. I am licensed by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I have been married to my supportive wife since 2008, and we have two energetic boys and a daughter who keeps me on my toes.
